Outreach to Industry Program (OIP)
A materials industry advisory board (MIAB) will be formed composed mainly of people in the 'industry' broadly defined (i.e., industry, government agencies). Meetings between academia and the MIAB will held bi-annually to flesh out key areas of mutual collaboration.An industry day will be organized once in a year to interface students with the academia. Students will be taken on excursions to industries and also placed in industries for short term internships.
